  2. ║                      USE YOUR COPY, NOT THE LIBRARY'S                       ║

  5. ║   Never use the library's copy of the PDSOF disk.  You could easily ruin    ║
  6. ║   it.  Remember, you are fully responsible for any damage or alteration     ║
  7. ║   to the library's disk copy and its files.  Therefore, make your self-     ║
  8. ║   booting copy now.  Follow these 3 steps:                                  ║
  9. ║                                                                             ║
  10. ║      1) Format a blank 360K disk.  You must use DOS Version 2.0 or          ║
  11. ║         higher.  Use the "/S" switch (consult your DOS manual if you        ║
  12. ║         are unfamiliar with disk formatting).  To format a disk in          ║
  13. ║         Drive B, for example, enter the following command:                  ║
  14. ║                                                                             ║
  15. ║                                FORMAT B:/S                                  ║
  16. ║                                                                             ║
  17. ║      2) Copy BASICA.COM to your just-formatted disk.  If you have an        ║
  18. ║         IBM PC clone, consult your BASIC manual (you may, for example,      ║
  19. ║         have to use BASICA.EXE and GWBASIC.EXE in place of BASICA.COM).     ║
  20. ║                                                                             ║
  21. ║      3) Copy all the files on the PDSOF disk onto your disk.                ║
